2007-08 Detroit Lions

The Lions seem to have their work cut out for them this season. In fact, the Lions have set an NFL record for fewest carries in a 16 game season. They also rank near the bottom in points, sacks, and interceptions. How to bounce back from such stats? Ticket holding fans in the Motor City have placed their hopes in a reinforced offensive, mainly draft pick Calvin Johnson. Does the defensive line show the same promise? It remains to be seen.

The Detroit Lions are one of those teams that are looking to do the worst to first jump this season. The team has been stocking up on talented, young players and this should be the year that they put it together and make a push to win the NFC North. They are still missing a few pieces though, and during the off-season the Lions, led by head coach Steve Mariucci and team president Matt Millen, made a number of moves to get their team one step closer to winning a Super Bowl.
